A Dream Becoming Reality

So this weekend I had the pleasure of spending Saturday and Sunday with my fiance's parents. It was so awesome to see them again. I haven't seen them since I left Thailand in late January of this year. Bethany and I picked them up from LAX and headed to The HAT (Bethany's dad's favorite restaurant). Then the wedding adventures continued on. I got to see our wedding invitations and they were amazing! Every single invitation was hand crafted for us in Thailand. We spent the afternoon with some of the Christian's supporters and they were so amazing. It's awesome to meet couple's with such giving hearts and such a sense for adventure. We enjoyed a delicious bbq meal for dinner and hit up Target for a few small things.

Sunday was amazing. My family came down from Redlands to hang out with Bethany, me, and her family. We all loaded up into our vehicles and ate at Arthur's Coffee Shop in La Habra for breakfast. It was a great breakfast and then we headed down to Vista, CA to show our families the venue we had chosen for our marriage ceremony and reception.

The afternoon went so great after touring the place and learning a little bit more about the venue we thought what better a time to head to the beach to scout for hotels, catering services, and a dinner location. After spending some time on the pier we walked a few blocks inland and had some great Mexican food and then headed home. It is such a blessing to see our two families hanging out and getting along! I am so excited for us to join our two families together on September 4, 2010. The day is fast approaching and this week is is dedicated to helping Bethany and her mom in getting things for the wedding in order seeing that they are only here for the week.

A New Adventure

Well I'm a little late to the scene but I finally have decided to start my own blog and here it is! Exciting right.....ok well maybe it's not that exciting yet, but I promise you it will get exciting.

I grew up here in Southern California in the town of Redlands. I moved around quite a bit between Redlands and the neighboring town Yucaipa throughout my childhood. I attended Redlands East Valley High School and graduated in 2005.

My senior year of high school is very I first developed my passion for filmmaking. I was on the REVWEEK crew, our school's weekly television show, and really enjoyed every aspect of production and then decided that I wanted to go to school to become a filmmaker. After high school I ended up attending Hope International University, a small Christian University in Fullerton, CA. I attended the school and also attended California State University Fullerton through HIU's contract program to get my film degree. Throughout my four years at Hope I made so many great friends and I also met my future wife Bethany Jill Christian.

Bethany and I met barely a week into freshman year, she was crazy, funny, and beautiful. I think I had an on and off crush on her all throughout college. She was one of my best friends in college and we share so many amazing memories. I got to travel to Thailand with her and a group of friends and got to experience the wonderful culture that she grew up in. I knew I liked her for quite awhile but things just kept on getting in the way. But the summer in between our junior and senior year we both worked as Admissions Representatives for the school and I began to fully pursue her. Let me say, this was a tough road, I got denied on three separate occasions, and finally gave up. But that was the turning point, when I gave up she decided to give me a shot.

We dated for a year and four days, then on December 12, 2009, the day of our college graduation, I asked her to be my wife! Our big day is fast approaching! I love her so much and she is my inspiration.

My family are also my big supporters. My mom and my dad have always encouraged me to follow my dreams and are the main reason I am in Hollywood today. They have never once discouraged me from dreaming big, and have always done everything possible to help me achieve my goals. I have a wonderful sister who has become a close friend over the past few years and a brother whom I love dearly.

So what is the purpose of this blog? I want to write about my life here in Hollywood. I will be doing movie reviews, food reviews, book reviews, and any review you can think of, and I will also be throwing in my day to day adventures. I am a natural born story teller, and if you don't believe me ask anyone who knows me. I like to entertain and that is what this blog is all about!

So with that, please enjoy Hollywood Living!
